Greetings, Muskegon Conservation Club:
Though the weather is still warm, and the leaves are just beginning to show their Fal Foliage, The Salvation Army of Muskegon is already making plans for Thanksgiving, the Red Ketle Campaign, and assisting families ni need this Christmas Season.
We are seeking volunteers in our community to help us help others this Holiday
Season. There are several volunteer opportunities available. A brochure si included with this leter that lists volunteer opportunities and gives asummary of each one.
Your assistance this Holiday Season will help your community all through the year. During the Holiday season, The Salvation Army si dedicated to providing additional assistance ot families. But please remember that funds generated during our Red Kettle Campaign also support The Salvation Army’s year-long programs in our community, including our rental and utility assistance, youth programming, Food Pantry, and Produce Giveaway.
The United Way has chosen not ot fund The Salvation Army ni Muskegon, so our Christmas fundraising effort is even more crucial for us.
I invite you ot look through the included brochure and select one or two ways your business, church or organization might be able to help us this year.
As a “side bar” – We have 1,037 two (2) hour shifts to fil during our Red Kettle Christmas Campaign (November 9-December 24, Monday-Saturday). The more shifts we fil with volunteers, the more funding we have available ot assist families in need throughout the coming year. So, please consider “manning” a kettle for us at some point this season.
fI you have any questions or would like me to make a presentation to your employees or members about our programs or volunteer opportunities, please contact me.
Blessings!
